By 20 weeks if they got a good view then it's unlikely. Also if a penis is seen it's pretty accurate, if they just didn't see a penis and couldn't get a good shot then there's a possibility it's incorrect.

Happened to me! Went in for gender scan at 18 weeks, told boy! So when we went back for the next one at 22 weeks I asked the lady is he still a boy? I didn't want to start buying stuff just in case. She said yup still a boy! Had a 3/4D ultrasound last week at 30 weeks...and the tech looked at me like I was crazy when I said we were having a boy..she was like no definitely a girl, there are no boy parts there at all...she even showed us baby's private parts in 4D so it was very clear...and my SIL had already sent out shower invites that said boy on them 🙈 so we had to call everyone and tell them to ignore that because it's a girl lol and scramble to change the stuff for the shower alittle bit because it's tomorrow haha 😂

I think it depends on what type of ultrasound you are doing. I doubt they can make a mistake with a 3D or 4d ultrasound but if it's just regular they could

Scans are 95% accurate and genetics testing (amniocentecis) is 99.9% accurate so theres a chance.
