Want to buy a Doppler but I don't want to freak myself out if I can't find the heartbeat. I'm 10 weeks 4 days. What week did you find the heartbeat with your at home Doppler?

I've been able to find the heartbeat since 9w2d consistently. It takes some patience but I've gotten pretty good at it now. Went in today at 10w5d and the midwife was like "It maybe too early to find yet but let's try". She gave up after 45 seconds and said it was probably too small. I know better. She just moved it to two or three very different spots and listened for a few seconds in each location. I often find it within 15 seconds myself but if I don't right away I do a very slow methodical sweep at different angles from one side to the other. It takes up to 4-5 minutes sometimes but it's there loud and strong if I'm patient. Give yourself time and don't panic if you can't find it. Try again the following day. After two miscarriages, this is the only thing that has relieved my constant anxiety and made me feel calm.

I don't think I want to get one. My doctor struggled a bit to find heartbeat today at 11 weeks. She had to press pretty hard. Probably harder than I ever would. And it still took her a few minutes to find it. Then it disappeared and she had to find it again.  I'd probably freak myself out lol.

I'm 10 weeks and have found the hb weekly since 8+3. You need to reeeeally concentrate on that pubic bone. For weeks 8 and 9, I was literally pushing into that bone and it was so faint, the Doppler didn't even recognize it. I could just hear it up to my ear. Then at 10 weeks, it's literally on the edge of that bone (sooo different than my last baby, he was always so easy to find!). Use a little pressure, but not to where it's causing pain, and try right where your pubic bone starts. And don't be concerned about not being able to find it before 13 weeks, sometimes later with a home Doppler. ❤

My nurse found the heartbeat at 8+6 yesterday, but that was obviously a hospital-grade Doppler!

I found it at 9w 2d with a sonoline b Doppler . It's pretty good , I ordered it from Walmart but I heard there's a website called fetaldoppler.com I believe that may also have it . If you end up purchasing one and don't find the heartbeat don't freak out it doesn't mean anything is wrong with baby !

I absolutely love my doppler! I have had a previous mc so being able to hear the heartbeat makes me so happy! It was totally worth the 30 dollars. The first time I used it, it took about 30 minutes to find it but now it's so strong it's an amazing feeling!

Found it at exactly 10 weeks. I do feel like for whatever reason it's a lot easier to find with a full bladder. Try it!

I have a sonoline b and found it the day I got it at 11 weeks 4 days. I'm now 13 weeks and can find it pretty easily. For me, it's amazing to have. I had a loss last year so it really helps my peace of mind in between appointments. I have a friend who is due 6 days after me who also had a loss last year and she doesn't want to get one in fear that she wouldn't be able to find it and would stress about it. It's totally a personal preference, but I really love having mine.

12 or 13 weeks is the best time to listen for a heart beat. I heard my first one at my physical at 12 weeks it was amazing.
