today, i am 36 weeks & 4 days pregnant with my first! 💙

i had an appointment with my OB today, where we did our usual check-up; checked blood pressure, listened to my little man's strong little heartbeat, etc...

the past few visits, i've had somewhat high blood pressure readings, which would go down when we checked again at the end of the visit. i've been checking my blood pressure at home as regularly as my pregnant brain will allow me to remember, and they are always normal when i am at home.

now, after doing a urine culture today, my doctor found some protein in my urine, which has happened before, as well... between the blood pressure readings and traces of protein in my urine, signs are beginning to point to pre-eclampsia, though i haven't been experiencing any swelling other than slightly in my feet/ankles after a long day.

my doctor is beginning to lean towards putting me on the induction list for next week and i am honestly freaking out over here! at 37 weeks, i know everything should be just fine, but it's like everything just got SUPER REAL today and i don't know how to feel D:
