Hotel's minimum age 21.. but 19?

hi, me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to Orlando to celebrate our anniversary. We just booked a hotel and just realized the minimum age to check in is 21. I'm 19 he's 20, is there anyway they may let us in? Has anyone been under the age limit and gotten checked in?

You have to be 21 and there's no way around it. They would rather protect themselves from any liability than to risk it with a bunch of underage "adults." You have to provide ID to check in and pay. See if you can get your money back and maybe find another place to stay.

Same rules apply to hotels as they do to clubs. They won't let you in unless you provide a fake ID.

We booked s condo in the gulf for a trip and we had to be 25! Or have a parent, were all 20/21. It's insane. But I'm guessing it's to help keep teenagers from coming and partying and trashing the rooms

Ive never had a problem. I was able to check in at 19 as long as i had ID with me.

Maybe find a different hotel. Me and my husband honeymooned at 20 at a nice hotel, so not all nice hotels have that requirement.

I've never had to be 21 . I'm 20 and can check into a hotel with no problem!  But I also work at a hotel and get discounts so that may be why

Might be a legal safety for them if they serve alcohol. You'll have to cancel the reservation and make one elsewhere within your capabilities.

My bf and I had the same problem (we're both 20) we live in the Chicagoland area and ended up finding a double tree that allowed people under 21 and above 18. Idk if they have one in Orlando but you're bound to find something. I think it's crazy that people are allowed to get married at 18 but they can't buy their own hotel room 😂

I've honestly never heard of this. I've gotten a hotel multiple times with no problem. Is this just an area issue? I don't think they'll let you in, but I would call the front desk and ask on the off chance they'll make an exception.
