My crazy and fast birth story.... I went into the hospital Wednesday night because I was having some trouble with high blood pressure, they ran tests and everything came back normal but they decided to keep me overnight just for observation. At around 3am Thursday morning I was laying in the bed and felt a big POP about a minute later my water broke!! After my water broke I started getting intense contractions and at around 8am they checked me and I was 4cm dilated so I decided to go ahead and get the epidural. After about 25 minutes of the anesthesiologist trying to get the epidural in I was informed he couldn't get it to take! At this point I'm freaking out and in sooo much pain. The anesthesiologist than tells me he's going to go put in another womans epidural and he would be back to "try again". Really? I was so annoyed not to mention he hummed the whole time he was "trying" to get mine in. 20 minutes after he left I felt extreme pressure so my awesome nurses checked me and I was at 9cm! They asked if I wanted to wait for him to come back and try again or did I just want to go ahead and start pushing. I decided to just start pushing. Ten minutes later my beautiful baby boy was born 7lbs 0 oz 19 1/2 in long. He is absolutely perfect and we were able to take him home tonight!
