Measuring small, i am suppose to be 7.1 weeks, and doctor said i am measuring 5 weeks :( i have irregular periods so I am trying to stay hopeful. Anyone else gone through a similar situation?

I got my first ultrasound thinking I was 8 weeks! Come to find out I was way to early and ended up being four weeks. So there was just a yolk sac. I went back a week later and there was a heartbeat!! Keep your chin up.

I was supposed to be 9-10 weeks on Feb 19 but when I got a scan I measured 7 weeks & 4 days. My periods are irregular & they said that's probably why I was a couple week behind but baby is fine & had a heartbeat of 167 bpm

Measured about a week less than I thought. The doctor didn't seem concerned, just thought my ovulation was later than expected. Go back in two days for another scan - going to see the heart beat then!!

This is exactly what I'm going through. I thought I was 6 weeks 5 days (based on ovulation tests) when I went for my ultrasound on Thursday but only measured at 5 weeks 4 days. They did find a heartbeat (111bpm) so I'm taking that as a good sign and trying not to stress about the weeks.

Im with you girl I thought I was 6  weeks but measures 5wks 3days similar picture very small because it was an early detection my doctor told me to come in 2weeks today I want for my second check measuring 7wks 3days got to her the heartbeat for the first time!

I had a scan at my last pregnancy at 7 weeks and it showed that it had stopped growing at 5 weeks, so i had a missed abortion :( but my period was 100% regular, thats why we knew for sure. Så If yours is indregular, it could just be that you ovulated later. Dont loose hope! 
Maybe you should get blood work at the doctors and a new scan in a week :-)

Also my doctor said it depends on the day  your egg was fertilized because the sperm can take up to 7days I believe...hope that helps.
