Co-sleeping?

My son has always slept in bed with me.. with baby #2 on her way I want to start working on getting him in his own bed. He'll sleep in his own bed for an hour or two every now and then. What are some go tips or tricks to help?

We did the CIO method and I'm so thankful we did. The first few days really suck, but now our son is a wonderful sleeper and he sleeps through the night and takes a 3 hour nap everyday. He self soothes and doesn't throw a fit about sleeping. Create a routine (it doesn't have to be anything crazy). Putting pajamas on, having milk, brush teeth, a story if you're up for it and then it's time for bed. The first night was the worst for us, but after that it made things so much better for all of us. And I don't have to stress about sleep once our second son is here. Good luck!!

My son is 18 months and has been sleeping in our bed for 1 and 1/2 months now. I'm due with baby number 2 this October. I want him to sleep in his own room but he wakes up as soon as we lay him down.

We did the Ferber method and my daughter was sleeping in her own bed after the first few days.

Our daughter slept with us and I'm not going to lie it was a nightmare getting her into her own bed. In the end she had music on really quietly and it really helped I think feeling completly on her own make it loads worse. Good luck !!! Oh and send dad in ! If I went to her room she would just kick off but she'd settle loads faster she probs knew I was the softer parent lol xx
