When did your baby first stay overnight elsewhere?

Question

My baby will be staying at his grandparents' house overnight for the first time because we really need one night of uninterrupted sleep. My baby is soon-to-be 3 months.

My oldest daughters are 7 and 9 the 9 year old just had her first slumber party and my 7 year old just spent her first night away at her grandma's house when her baby sister was born. To be fair I realize I'm the extreme but both my parents are passed and we don't have the best relationship with my mother in law. I don't know we both had parents that were more interested in going out and having fun then being home and we are the opposite we do have nights out but don't see why our children should sleep anywhere besides their own beds. If they have the option for the most part they'd always choose home.

My daughter is 1 & she hasn't yet. But if someone would've offered, she would have already 😂 Excitedly waiting for that opportunity!

Mines almost four months and it'll be years. Not til he asks me to stay over there. I don't see the point.

At 3.5 months. I missed her- but it was soooo nice to go to bed when I wanted and wake up when I wanted a blissful 8 hours later! Lol also nice to hang with the hubby and my parents loved every minute of their sleepover with her! Enjoy it!!!!

My daughter is about to be a year and she's never spent a night away from us and she won't until she's a child. My dad lost me as a baby over this and didn't get me back until I was 15. Even now he is adamant that I not let my baby stay with someone without me or her dad, and I couldn't agree more. From the moment I was pregnant I have had a deep fear that the same family member who took me will try to do the same with my daughter. Even my dad won't take her other than babysitting without me staying there as well. I don't  even care, my daughter is a hand full but I love her more than anything and enjoy her company no matter how frustrated I get. That's what I signed up for when I decided to become a parent. 👍

Not saying it's bad to let your child go with family over night or whatever, most people don't have these extreme family issues like mine. ☺

My mom came to help us with the baby and she woukd feed her and burp her at night so i could sleep..it was great..i got some much needed rest for a few days. Im not a big fan of keeping the baby away since they r so small and i might go crazy worrying if shes ok..

He was about 9 months old the first time he stayed with my inlaws. That's the only time so far cause we went to a basket ball game and didn't want to wake him that late to take him back home. He did great but I missed him a lot
