My tongue has a burn on it (purple dot) and the side looks so weird and has never looked like this..

Im not sure what you mean by the side looking weird. It looks normal to me.

I see the dot. It doesn't look like anything abnormal. Is it possible you just ate or drank something hot and burnt your tongue? Or maybe you bit it (maybe while sleeping) and it's a tiny scab?

If it's painful or if it gets worse, then I would go see a doctor. But it doesn't look like anything strange. I don't even know how you noticed it lol
