Which birth control is best?

I've been considering getting on birth control but I don't want to gain a lot of weight or have my acne get any worse. Is birth control still a good option?(getting bc for regulating/stopping periods)

There are pros and cons to any kind of birth control and every woman will react differently. I personally like the pill. But I've tried one brand that made me gain weight and have me horrible mood swings. I then changed pills and have no symptoms (besides slightly larger breasts and the occasional missed period due to the brand of pill I'm on). I've got friends that have tried the two brands I've taken. The brand that didn't work for me worked for most of my friends and they have no symptoms and no friend started this pill and her acne went away. The brand I'm on doesn't work for everyone either. One friend is on it and hates it. But it's great for me.

I've heard good and bad about every kind of birth control. So I think your best option is to do some research and talk to your doctor about which option will work best for you. Some people don't like the pill because they forget about it and other women don't do well with hormonal birth control. So there's no right or wrong answer- is what works best for you. Talk to your doctor because they can give you all the information and help you figure out what will work for you (plus you'll need them to prescribe the birth control anyways).
