Birth Control?

Hi ladies! I was diagnosed with PCOS almost exactly a year ago after TTC for months and months with no explanation as to why I wasn't pregnant. Finally switched doctors for insurance reasons, she found the issue right away, and we were lucky to conceive 3 weeks after starting metformin! I am now 4 wpp with a healthy baby boy! I have my pp appointment with my OB next week to discuss birth control. I don't really want to go back on hormonal birth control as once I was off of it I felt a thousand times better (I didn't even realize I was feeling bad until I stopped taking the pill). BUT I know that the pill can help decrease the number of cysts my body forms and obviously regulates my cycles. Do any of you have experience with this? Is hormonal BC the "best" option for us to help manage our symptoms? Will going on hormonal BC have an effect on my milk supply (nursing/pumping)? Any insight would be much appreciated!!
