Do I book a vacation?

We've been ttc for 2 years now and nothing has happened. We've both been tested, both mid 30's and our doctor won't refer us to a fertility clinic  (because my fiancé has a 14yr old from a previous 'relationship'). I've found a decent holiday destination which hasn't been struck by Zika yet and I'd love to book it for our 5 year anniversary. Do you think I should seeing as there's still 7 months until September which is when our anniversary is. I need to book when the prices are good which is around now lol (£3k).

It's so unfair they won't investigate you just because your partner has a child! What if there is an issue with you? (hopefully not obviously 😊)
I have had a similar dilemma with booking a holiday. I reckon as soon as you book it you will get pregnant lol.

Book the vacation! Maybe the break is just what you need to relax and be able to conceive. I'd see a new doctor too if you've been trying for two years without success, especially as it's been 14 years since your husband had his child. Good luck!!!!

The rule is:
ttc for a year if under 35, see a doctor get fertility investigations if haven't conceived.
ttc for 6 months if 35+, see a doctor get fertility investigations if haven't conceived.

Book the vacation & find a new doctor. It's been proven that he was fertile 14 years ago! That's a long time. Anything could've changed
