To start or not to start?

Hey everyone! So I am supposed to start my first round of Clomid this cycle and I don't know whether or not I should start taking it. I thought the real bleeding had begun, had some red blood and I counted that as CD 1 but now it seems to have stopped and is back to just brown blood. Should I still start the clomid? Today is CD3 (I think) even though the blood is back to being brown. Thanks everyone.
