pacifiers?

Might be a silly question, but how often do you switch our paci's for your LO's? We use MAM pacifiers and since Viviana turned 5 months we thought we might as well buy 6+ pacifiers to have on hand. My SO wants to start using them now, but I want to wait until she turns 6 months like instructed. So they have sizes for orthodontic reasons? Or for comfort?

I think it's more for comfort. My son's been using 6+ for a couple weeks and he's only 5 months.

We started using the 6+ month ones. We use MAM too. My son is 5 months 2 weeks and idk if its the new paci or him finally learning to soothe but he has gone to sleep soo much easier since. They are just slightly bigger.

Just comfort. I'm sure they are harder to stop teeth biting through. They will be fine prior to 6 months

I actually just switched out my daughters  pacifier an hour ago. I had bought them a week ago because I figured it's good to switch them out every once in a while for hygienic reasons and since she is 5 months  and a week I ended up getting the 6+ month pacifier. I noticed that the one she was using had a little black dot on the plastic right behind the piece that goes in her mouth. Thought maybe it might be the start of mold so I switched her to the 6+. The piece that goes in the mouth is a little bigger so I'm assuming that if the baby uses this before they are ready, it could cause them to gag on it.

My daughter is also 5 and a half months old and we recently tried the 6 month mam pacifiers and she loves them!
