Regulating AF after stopping birth control

How long did it take for AF to regulate after stopping hormonal birth control? I quit birth control in January and besides what I believe to just be breakthrough bleeding, there is no sign of AF. I've experienced what I thought was PMS for about two weeks now, but nothing. All hpt say BFN. Just wondering how long it took for others to regulate. I was on birth control for about 10 years before stopping.
