EXTREMELY painful cramps 6 months after IUD?

Hey ladies, so for any mommies with the copper IUD how is it working for you? Mine had been great but out of now where I have had insanely painful cramps off and on for the last two and a half weeks with spotting. These are seriously the worst cramps I have ever had. I thought I had a period during this time but it was so light I'm not even sure since my period hasn't returned yet from having my baby in July. Normally excerice has always helped with my cramps but it almost seems to make it worse. I do play women's rugby so I'm wondered if maybe it moved? I have no idea. Does anyone know what might be going on?
