What do you wish you had known about having sex that you didn't know the first time you had it?

That it could actually mess up your period. Not really the sex itself but the post-sex waiting for your period even though you know you're protected, very stressful. Stress means your period takes longer to come. Late period, more stress... vicious cycle. And I know we all can't really help it, but try to stay calm and unworried.

I wish I had known it's not all romantic and sexy the first time lol. It's awkward and sometimes even uncomfortable. Tmi but I also was expecting it to go in all the way, but I was only able to handle barely the tip and it hurt like crazyyyy! My best advice is, do it when you're completely ready, HAVE LUBE, LOTS, and make sure you'll be able to spend awhile with your boo. It will honestly make a big difference. Have fun!

That sex doesn't have anything to do with porn. That a good lover will kiss you and caress you and take it slow. That it takes time for your body to learn what feels good. That sex is not something that you are either good or bad at but something where you get better with time and experience and a partner who you have good communication with.

This is really about the first time you have sexy but the first few times (or many times) I wish I would have known that it takes time and passion to be amazing. It's not just the guy's duty to seduce you and make it incredible. It's both of you making love together. Know what you like sexually and know how to get yourself off and what turns you on and being that all into your sex. Without that it can never be good no matter how hard or romantic the guy tries to make it.
