BF Pushed Me In A Rage

Currently hiding in my closet, listening to my bf of 4 years sweep up the ceramic plate he threw at me. He missed, and when I ran in the room he followed me, broke the door down, and then shoved me down (hard) onto the bed. I kicked him and told him to get off and to get out. I had a fight response but I'm shaking now, praying to make it through this. He has NEVER touched me before.. always yells, but has never put a finger on me. I think he blacked out.. all I did was turn off the TV because the toddler is asleep and it's 1AM. He turned it back on, I turned it off. That's when he reached for the plate.. I need support. I need strength from you ladies please, my heart is already broken so no need to tear me down. I just need similar stories, strategies, etc. Let me know I'm not alone, and how do I make it through this?
