How often do y'all wear tampons when on your period?

I was wondering if it was okay for me to use them towards the end when my period is lighter and how painful is it when it's not as heavy

I never wear tampons. But if you're too light to the point where the tampon is still fairly dry after 4-6 hours, you're too light. If a pantyliner is enough, don't use a tampon. The bleached cotton isn't good for you in general, but if you're using them on your lighter days, you're more likely to have parts of the tampon (strands of cotton) left behind in your vagina. I recommend cups if you don't like to use pads. There's no risk of tss and they don't mess with your pH balance like tampons, and they can be worn during heavy and light days.

Wearing a tampon of the wrong absorbent greatly increased your chance of getting TSS. If it's a lighter day then use the light tampons (if they even still make those I haven't seen them in my shopping place in months) or wear a panty liner.
