My Ob/Gyn did not refer me to a specialist but I made my own appointment and just went today. I told her the evidence my doctor used to diagnose me, which was only one anovulatory cycle and elevated insulin levels. My other hormone levels all came back normal. The specialist today said I do not have PCOS. She is taking me off of metformin and clomid. She wants to do a hysteroscopy to look for scarring and adhesions in my uterus from a prior D&C. This is all so confusing!
