zero sperm count

Help!! My husband & I have been ttc for just about a year. My husband has had a semen analysis done An has come back with zero sperm count :-( we then went to a urologist who wanted to do blood work to make sure his "engine wasn't dead" he now is wanting to preform a procedure, but is waiting on a call from a top collegue. I have had several friends in very similar situation with the sperm count, An their Dr immediately put them on Clomid an it took a couple months, but worked An now they are pregnant or have had children.  We are close to getting a second opinion An we really want to get the ball rolling as my husband is 44! Any one out there w similar situation you could help out?!?? Or success stories?
