All-in-One car seat?

Hey! I am looking into buying one of the 5-40 pound car seats because it makes more sense to me than buying three different seats. I do not want a travel system, so that's not an issue. So, does anyone have one? Do you wish you had gotten multiple, individual sizes?

Graco Extend2Fit. I think the 4ever ($300) is a waste of money because you can use the Extend2Fit ($170) until they need a no back booster and then buy that for like $30.

I'm getting a graco 4ever it also goes up to 100 or 120 pound. From newborn to 10 years

I'm not sure of too many that go up to 100 (only because I haven't looked into them).  I prefer to have an infant seat that I can take in and out of the car when they are really tiny, it's just been easier for my husband and I that way. Then once we aren't carrying them around in the infant seat when we go places, I'll look into car seats that just stay in the car and can be rear then forward facing. I think truly it's just a preference thing for each person/family

I highly recommend one with a forward facing 5 point harness weight limit of 60 pounds or more. Most are 40 pounds and then after that you have to use it as a booster with the regular seatbelt. It is not legal in my state until age 4 and not recommended until she 6. My son was 40 pounds when he was 3. So I had to buy a whole new seat. Check out the Graco nautilus 65.

We have the safety first grow and go that's newborn to 100 lb booster seat. We don't have a travel system so it will stay in the vehicle and we only need the one

I'm not a fan of them. You can't really carry them inside every time you take your baby somewhere... so you have to hold them on the way to the car & it's hard to keep them covered up if it's cold/windy outside.

I love the convertible car seats. But I loved having an infant carrier as well. So I had an infant carrier for my daughter until she was 7 months old, then we got her a convertible car seat. Also, I've heard some hospitals don't allow baby to leave in a convertible car seat, so I would just check to make sure yours will let you, jusy to be on the safe side.
