saliva kills sperm????

Hi ladies... I've just read that saliva can kill sperm and am curious to get some opinions? My OH sometimes uses some spit as lube but I'm now thinking this is just as bad as using actual lube???

Try Preseed lube! We were TTC for a year and I also read that saliva can harm the sperm so I decided to buy Preseed and got pregnant within 2 months.

I heard this and after we stopped using spit as lube or me giving him a bj first, we got pregnant. I used Conceive Plus as lube instead. It took me 7 months with #1 (got pregnant 2 months after finding out the saliva thing) and 3 months with #2, knowing about the saliva thing from the start.

It may cause you problems it or it may not. It probably depends on the couple.

Yes, saliva can kill or injure sperm. It's full of bacteria and the ph is most likely not ideal for them. I wouldn't suggest using spit as lube and would probably avoid oral while you are having sex with the intent to conceive.

Most lubricants will also slow or kill sperm as well. If they can't swim through the lube , they can't get to the egg. Preseed is made by the makers of first response and it's a lube intended for TTC and there are others like it (conceive plus, and astroglide TTC) you can find them at Walmart, target and most drug stores! Yes saliva kills sperm. My doctor told me this. But there is many things that can harm sperm. Just like hot baths, tight underwear etc. but that doesn't mean it can't happen but it will definitely lower your chances.

Omgggg my boyfriend is a huge spit user.. I kept asking him was I dry or something but he just likes to do and he give me oral every time .. he likes a lot of spit while I'm giving oral.. we've been trying on and off for 8 months this makes so much sense.!!! I used pressed before but I lost the top to it and it says don't use if something happens to it or it will go bad / less effective so I got the regular TTC  not sure the brand it's pink with a baby on it , can't wait to tell him all this time smh 😖

They say saliva decreases your chances of getting pregnant. I've heard people use preseed, it's lube but assists in getting pregnant. Never tried it though
