Cops at my door at 8am.

So I was awoken this morning by a female officer at my door. She was trying to figure out if anyone had heard anything last night because our neighbors car had been hit. They are stupid and park on the street despite having adequate driveway space. I am always having trouble backing out because they do this. So of course the first person they suspect is us. Our driveway lines up to the vehicle. Anyway the back of our vehicle is all marked up from the previous owner. I know the officer looked at the rear before even knocking. I could tell right away she was dead set on it being us. Well around 10 last night we heard a loud noise so we went outside. As did 2 other neighbors and we all looked around and stood outside talking aprox. 30 minutes. My husband ran to the store after that but everyone saw him back out! It is piych black with no street lights. I explained all that to her. She still didn't seem convinced. I'm now worried they could press charges against us or something despite us not doing it. I was thinking the dealership could vouch for all the rear end dings and scrapes perhaps. I mean if it comes to that... I am just frustrated that I have to deal with it and we did nothing.
