Advice from anyone who has had a genital herpes outbreak

I have a bump right on my labia majora that I noticed 2 days ago. It's big and red. It does Not hurt or  does not itch or does not burn when I pee but I was reading online that right before an outbreak you get red and it can get confused with a pimple. I feel like I am psyching myself up and convincing myself it's not a pimple. I have made an appointment with PP but hoping someone who has had one can tell me if this is what it looks like before an outbreak. Thank you!
