Don't have high expectations, it probably won't be awesome your first time. Just be patient and don't do it until you've found someone who you can laugh with and who is deserving! My first couple times were total fails. Couldn't even get it in. But it was fine, he was patient and put no pressure on me

Losing your virginity should hurt that much. It will feel weird because someone you're not used to is going inside of you for the first time, you'll be a little uncomfortable I guess is the word, but not like total pain., just take it slow and don't expect to have super amazing sex, except if you're losing it to a guy that already knows what he's doing

My first time was actually really awesome. I barely felt any pain and I orgasmed! I didn't understand why everyone complained so much about it. So maybe I'm one of the lucky ones haha but make sure you use lube! You may bleed a little bit also, to describe what I felt pain wise  it's a slight burning sensation.

For me, the pain wasn't like "omg take me to the hospital because I'm dying 😭" but it still hurt a little. Surprisingly, it wasn't awkward at all after. I lost it to someone I love and 4 years later, we're still on/off. He was so sweet during. He was gentle and took his time and I really appreciated it.

I think it's very different for everyone. The more nervous you are the more it is likely to be painful because your muscles will all be tense. I would say don't rush it, take time to become comfortable being naked with another person, explore each other for a while and just enjoy. That said, I certainly didn't take my own advice. My first time trying was with another virgin and at first we just couldn't make it work - he was on top and it turns out that proper positioning is a learned skill lol. We tried again with me on top and that was pretty ideal. It kind of hurt because I was nervous but it allowed me to control the speed and that helped a lot. It's unlikely that your first time will be amazing but like anything else, it gets better with practice.
