How did you sleep train your baby?

I have a 4 month old, and she's almost never fallen asleep on her own. When she was younger than 2 months, we would have to rock her to sleep, but currently I breastfeed her until she falls asleep. I've tried putting her down when she's drowsy after a feed, but as soon as I do she cries and screams herself wide awake. Any tips would be helpful and appreciated!

Our pediatrician says to let baby sleep when they want until around 6 months. It's tiring I know but we are on the baby's clock for a few months.

Four months is too early to sleep train. You can try seeing if she will self soothe a little. But absolutely do not do cry it out at this young age. It is normal for a 4 month old baby to need help to fall asleep. They are little. They need to learn they can trust and count on their adults.

My sister sleep trains her babies at 4 months with the cry it out method. She said it only takes 2-3 days before they're completely trained. They go to bed from 7-7. Baby and parents get more sleep. This method comes from the book "healthy sleep habits, happy child". My baby is 2 months old, and we will begin training at 4 months.
