signs of acid reflux ??

Has anyone experienced acid reflux in babies? For some time now, my son has these weird episodes ... The best way I can explain it is, he makes his face like someone is splashing a lot of water him and he can't breathe ... or when your in a really deep pool and your panicking to stay afloat (the whole jerking of head side to side ,kicking arms and legs in a panic ) it usually last about 5 secs (but it seems like eternity! ) and then a clear or white liquid ends up coming out both his mouth and nose .ive brought it up to his dr  but she insist he will grow out of it . I'm not sure if I can wait for that(in the process of getting a second opinion from another pediatrician) , it's really scary. Has anyone ever seen this ?

Following up-- my daughter saw her pediatrician today.  She didn't gain a single ounce since her last appointment (1 month ago). So she prescribed Zantac for the reflux and sent me for a gi consult. She told me to have my daughter seen this week.  We have an appointment with gi on Friday at the local children's hospital. Because she didn't gain weight, she was also diagnosed failure to thrive.

We did 1 dose of the Zantac so far, and she spit it up. Then, she spit up twice more. 😳

My kiddo was put on Zantac as well. He would arch his back after eating and scream. He would spit up most of his feeding after every feeding.  He would sometimes vomit so hard it came out his nose.  He was a super slow grower- went 2 weeks without gaining.  Since starting Zantac he still spits up a little- but only a little. He hasn't vomited through the nose.  He's gaining weight (still in the 6th percentile,  but we are working on it). It seems to have made a big difference.

My suggestion- give it before a feeding shop it is in the bottom of the stomach so if baby does spit up at least it's not just the meds so hopefully some stays in the belly. Also squirt the meds in the very back of the mouth so baby can't spit it out before even swallowing it.

I hope it helps your little one.  It took a few days before we saw a difference.

My daughter used to do that, it was acid reflux. Her doc said that when that happens it because their gag reflex is triggered. She was put in meds at 2.5mo and I stopped them

My daughter has acid reflux, she'd always arch her back and swallow down her spit up. So much trouble sleeping and all the usual signs. Brought it up to my ped and he put her on Pepcid at 6 weeks. But after still having issues at our 3 month apt I asked him to switch her to Prevacid (PPI). He told me it doesn't hurt to try it and see if it helps, every baby is different so talk to your ped! Mama's intuition knows baby best, so get a second opinion if that's what you think 😃

My daughter has been getting this panicked look on her face, then makes these swallowing sounds...sometimes, she spits up clear. She's also been spitting up clear fluid in her sleep--hours after she's eaten (when I'm expecting to feed her again). She's also been crying/whining when these things happen.  I'll be talking to her pediatrician Monday about it- at her 2 month appointment.  I'm concerned because she refuses to eat within a reasonable time after this happens.

In the meantime, I've been trying to feed her more upright, then keeping her upright for about half hour after eating.

My daughter has reflux and you can hear formula come back up, she coughs and wheezes, cries a lot for hours on end, would projectile vomit, and sometimes refuse to eat. It's starting to be controlled by medication and hypoallergenic formula. All babies have reflux to some extent. My daughter is just an extreme case.
