How many of y'all rather stick up on too many diapers?

Question

Everyone told me on my son don't buy too many newborns they grow out too fast. Well I had about 10 or so packs. Well he was born at 39 weeks and was put in the nicu. Idk how many preemies and newborns they used but my grandmother went and bought us some 2 (I think) preemies and we still had to buy 3 or 4 boxes of newborns (after my packs). I do know not all babies are the same.

I don't, I'll buy a couple packs but I won't stock up. Mainly bc they grow so fast, but also bc all my kids reacted differently to different diapers, I don't want to have an insane amount to of diapers only for my baby to break out in a rash from said diaper

There's a lot of blogs/sites that give a guess about how many packs of each size, that's what I'm going to go off of, can always exchange if need be... that's how I feel anyway!

My son grew out of newborns pretty fast, he started out in premie as well but we used maybe 8 packs of newborn. He was in size 2 the longest
