Low flow in one breast?

Has anyone had to deal with a slower flow on one side?

I tried pumping for the first time yesterday, and I yielded almost twice as much from my left breast than I did my right. I also notice that when I nurse my son from the right, it still feels quite firm afterward- whereas the left gets softer.

Do I have a clogged duct possibly? How can I remedy this?

Making sure you have the correct size breast shield will make a world of difference too. I changed from24mm to 21mm and can get a lot more in less amount of time pumping. And it doesn't even hurt.

If it stays firm then it sounds like your not getting all of the letdown out. Continue to pump until it gets soft. Also, if you will pump the left side (I think that's the side you said was softer) longer then it will eventually even out your supply. Even if it is dry pumping.

It's normal. Can try pumping from it more. If it were clogged you would know- typically hurts.

I had better flow from my right breast. My left breast is larger than the right, and I would get clogged ducts if I waited too long between pumping, or if I wore a real bra.
