how often does your baby move ??

i still work a lot and i feel my baby move around a lot but at work i don't ever count the movements but when i get home i try to and sometimes he doesn't move 10 times in an hour . should i be worried ?

Mine has very specific times of day when she's very active: 4 am, 10 am, 8 pm. At those hours I can get 10 kicks in less than 30 minutes (often in less than 15 minutes) but at other times of day it can take a LOT longer.

You're supposed to get I believe 10 kicks or movements every 2 hours. Not every hour.

If you tend to move around alot the baby will tend to not move around a lot because you're practically swaying him or her to sleep. It's easier to recognize movements when you're laying down then standing up

The hospital where I'm delivering says to check for ten movements in two hours during a period your baby is normally active. They haven't specifically said to do daily counts though- just count if you feel the pattern is less than usual.

I'm 34 weeks and haven't counted any kicks. I personally just make sure the baby moves at least twice a day. Baby moves quite a bit so maybe that's why I'm not so worried.

Move/kick at least 10 times in a 2 hour period. My doctor has me monitoring it.

I've noticed that if I'm walking around a lot at work he isn't as active. I guess because he's sleeping. If I get worried I eat something and sit down for awhile and see if I feel any movement. Also, remember as your baby gets bigger the less they will move because they are running out of space.

There are days when baby girl isn't so active and days she's super active.  As long as I feel some sort of movement throughout the day I'm happy. She's usually more active later on in the day :) I haven't been told to count kicks, just to notice if she has kicked for a long time.
