How long do you plan on waiting before taking your newborn out?

For any moms out there, if you just had a baby.... when do you plan on taking your newborn out to show off him or her to the world? I hate being in the house all the time but I also have to remember I'm doing this to keep my baby safe and healthy. I am a single mother of two and wanted to know when you plan on taking your LO out. I am also exclusively breastfeeding.

I been taking my baby out sinces she was 4 days!!! And she is completely fine

Well, there's different kinds of taking baby out. We will definitely be taking him out for walks etc. early on, but certainly not into social gatherings or other places where people will be touching him or getting up close to him.

It's flu season and with everyone's aversion to getting vaccinated we all get to endure an epidemic. So no, I will be keeping him and myself home, thank you. Plus throwing hand sanitizer and masks at the door when people come to see the baby lol

We've been taking our baby girl out since she was a few days old. We've been taking walks outside, gone to open houses, and eaten outside at empty restaurants (Florida). Basically  we're fine with taking her out as long as the destination doesn't have many people around.

I've had to take my baby back to the hospital to get daily bilirubin checks since the day we brought him home (he was 3 days old at that point) so I'm less nervous about being outside with him. Definitely still plan on staying in most of the time but I'm ok running to the store if I have to. I won't be letting anyone other than family touch him for a while though (other than his medical team), and definitely not while we're out.

Also remember he's not vaccinated yet. If you can avoid taking him out, do that. Run to the store when someone is visiting to help out. You can give up a social life for a few months.

Waiting the 2 months per doctor's recommendations or once the weather changes since it's flu season and RSV is running rampid in our area. (Wisconsin)

We have taken her to target, the grocery store, and out to dinner. I Baby wear her so people are way less inclined to try and touch her. And if someone tries to or asks I simply say no.

I took my baby out at 4 days. Being a single mom I have too. But she's a month old and we have a better social life then I did pregnant.

My baby is 3.5 weeks old. We've been to 2 doctor appointments, Walmart, Walgreens, 3 different grocery stores, and a gender reveal party for my sister in law. Also with my husband's work schedule the way it is, I have to take the baby out every morning and afternoon to drop off and pick up my son from school.
I've had family members scold me for taking her out but im a second time mom and am confident I know how to bundle her up and protect her. For my own sanity we need to get out of the house.
