when to test

Ttc is very exciting and a little stressful. You did everything right.. or so u feel like it!! So, my question is... once that fertile window is over.. how quickly have you ladies tested and got a faint line positive ? I don't want to torture myself and test every other day! My gut is saying wait until like two weeks past ovulation. Does anyone have any experiences of when they have started testing?
