Returning/Exchanging without gift Receipt?

Share expirecences on how you did it and where without knowing where it came from. Got a lot of repeats at my baby showers.

If they still have tags on them it should give you an idea of where they came from. Like only target carries certain brands for example. My suggestion would be to start wherever you were registered and they will scan and see if it is their item and give you cash or store credit. Good luck I know it's a pain to return things!

We took our items back to mainly Walmart, target, and Babies R Us. They just gave us back the money on a gift card, which was fine since we just put the money towards other things we needed but weren't bought.

We took most of our items back to where we were registered at. Target was a big one and we had no issues returning without receipts and getting a gift card. They even scanned other items that we didn't know where they came from to see if it came from there.

I had a few things to return at Walmart, just said they were from my baby shower and I was hoping to return them and get money back. If it's under 25$ you get cash, over $25 you get "store credit" on a gift card. Never asked for a receipt or anything
