How do you let your baby sleep?

I was always told never let your baby sleep on their stomach until they are old enough to turn their heads by themselves. My LO is 2 weeks old today and we had a really ruff night last night. Team no sleep at all over here... been up for 24 hours watching my son like a hawk because he finally went to sleep after crying and cluster feeding all night but he is on his stomach and I am afraid if I dose off I won't be able to catch him if he tries to move his head. How do you let your little sleep? I rather lose sleep so he is comfortable and gets some rest. But I am exhausted
