post-9 month checkup instructions

As
My pediatrician was not happy to hear about the cosleeping going on at my house. He strongly encouraged that it is time to deposit my wee man into his crib at night and shut the door until morning. His need for night nursing, he says, is purely behavioral and not developmental. I'm over here wondering, what about attachment parenting? And won't my baby eventually just sleep on his own in his own time? So conflicted. My husband says it's entirely up to me. As much as I would love to not have to go to bed at 7:30 at night, I don't think I can just tell my sweet baby, sorry, not sorry, but I'm not available to you when it's dark. Ugh. Anyone have a pediatrician that supports attachment parenting?
