My boyfriend was diagnosed with bipolar disorder last year. We started dating 5 months ago. He explained to me that part of his mood that he goes through is that he has no desire for sex. And then other times he wants it all the time. Along with the feeling of wanting to be isolated. Right now he's going through the no sex at all phase. He can't even get hard. Since we started dating we haven't had sex. We talked about it multiple times and he's tried to explain it to me and I'm trying to understand. I know sex isn't everything but it's a huge part of a relationship. I've never dated anyone with bipolar disorder. I'm tying to be patient and understanding. Has anyone ever dated someone with this disorder? Any advice?
