Came in last night to have gels applied. Doc said he was sure I would need another 2 lots as they won't do much. WELL! I had that unfortunate reaction where it gives you contractions every 30 seconds. Not enough to make me yell or anything but enough to make me stop talking. They gave me a muscle relaxant but it took all night to take full effect. Ended up sleeping from 5am-7am. They checked my cervix and thanks goodness I had started to dilate because they couldn't give me the gel again! They tried to break my waters but couldn't quite do it. Instead they did a stretch and sweep and left to talk about what to do next. They decided to try a foley catheter but couldn't locate any free for me. So they settled on Cervidil, she went to go insert it and said "Hang on, that's your waters!" So thank goodness I got to relax for a bit and wait to see if contractions would start on their own. Buuyt they didn't so they started the drip. So happy things are finally moving along!!!
