What to dress baby in?

Question

Ok, so I know they need layers and little sleepsuit are best to start with but I'm getting confused with all the different things you buy. Short sleeved, long sleeved, full suit and then there's all the outfits. How do you know which ones to use an when?

As you can tell I'm a first time mum and I know I will probably know all this when she gets here and it will be common sense but I just want to be prepared.

I know the little vests (short sleeved ones) goes under the sleepsuits right? But what about the long sleeved ones or the ones with no sleeves. And then which ones do you put under the outfits?

Please no judging or nasty comments I just need a lesson in baby dressing!

Our pediatrician told us, to dress her  how we would be dressed. If your hot, she's hot, if your cold, she's cold. You'll know better when she gets here :) you got this mama! Good luck!

I felt the same. My 4 month old had a short sleeved body suit and a long sleeved footed sleep suit most of the time when she was younger. We're in UK so just starting spring and she's been warm enough in that.

Now she normally has a short sleeved body suit, long sleeved top and leggings/trousers.

We've got long sleeved vests too but she only wears them when she is in the house and got nothing else on.

Pj's to sleep. Long sleeve onesies with pants when you wear long sleeves, short sleeve onesies when you do. Never want a baby to over heat, they can't regulate their bodies like we do.
