does natural progesterone help sustain a pregnancy?

After 3 chemicals and twin blighted ovum all in the span of 11 months I am wondering if I need progesterone? If I use a natural progesterone the day of ovulation, will I be messing anything up if I don't technically need it? Last month lost a pregnancy at 5.5 weeks, and unlike the rest of my chemicals, my lines gone super dark. Any experience with natural progesterone? Thanks!
