gift for nurse?

I delivered my son a year ago, and this nurse helped me so much. She literally is the best nurse I could ever ask for to help me through labor. She would even tell my fiancée things that are going on and she was just overall amazing to me. She respected my wishes, she took great care of me, she was there to help me push and even took a picture of the three of us right after my son was born because I don't have a mother to be there with me and capture that moment, so she offered to. She took amazing care of me and my doctor as well. I remember her name and I know she works in labor and delivery at the hospital, but I really want to give her a gift. She deserves appreciation. We were broke at that time and didn't give her anything but I've been saving up to do this for her and my ob. I was thinking about calling and seeing when she's working so I can give her a basket of goodies. Is that allowed? Also, what should I put In the goodie basket?? I would love some nice ideas:) The three of us want to go visit her soon and give her and my ob something nice for all the amazing help, because women like this deserve appreciation. What should I include in the basket for them both? Thank you :)

Aw what a lovely sounding lady. It's people like that that stay in your heart for life.

Maybe get her a hamper with some little goodies in it, and a thank you card explaining exactly what you've told us? :)

You could get some pampering stuff, some chocolate, some coffee?

Nurses love their junk food! Also anything containing caffeine! But, I bet what she would appreciate the most is a thank you letter telling her everything you just told us. I can remember every patient or family that took the time to send a letter or card and say that I made a difference! Also include some pictures of that sweet baby! Bet she would love it!

I gave gift to my Physical therapist who helped me go through recovery of my hand in my both surgery. I crocheted scarf by myself along with big box of chocolates and Thank u card in one cute gift bag. Then I dropped by in her in duty hours and gave it to her and said thank u personally. She was so happy to see me and hugged me. It made me feel really happy😊
