Do you use Dreft or another "baby" detergent for your baby's clothes?

I'm 11 weeks now and already have a ton of clothes my mother has given me, and they're taking up room folded on my closet shelf so I wanted to wash and hang them up. I was googling the best "baby" detergent when I saw an article talking about how silly it is to use a safe one on your baby's clothes but not your own since the baby will be touching your clothes too. So I did some more googling and figured out Tide is recommended for cloth diapers (which I will be using) so I guess I am just going to use it on the clothes too. Do you use one or just use what you use on your own clothes?

Your question for the poll is a little confusing with the poll answers. But I used tide with my kids. Everything was fine. The kids were fine. The clothes were fine. It felt clean to me. My husband has super sensitive skin so I have only ever been able to use tide so I felt comfortable with the kids using it.

Like another poster...we use dreft, buuuuuuut that's because it smells soooooo good. I even have the fabric freshener (like the frebreeze stuff that you spray on carpets) lol. If I didn't like the smell so much, I would use unscented Tide (: it's all up to you momma, don't stress too hard!

Most baby detergents, including Dreft, aren't any safer than regular detergents. You can look up safety ratings on EWG.org. And never use fabric softener on baby clothes! 
I use Arm & Hammer for my clothes (free & clear or unscented or something like that, I forget haha) and Seventh Generation for my daughter's clothes and cloth diapers. 🙂

I use babyganics fragrance free on all my daughter's clothes. Baby skin is so sensitive so I just wanted to be completely sure it wouldn't cause a rash or anything. I love the detergent!

I've always used ALL Free & Clear for my clothes & my son's. I've actually never even smelled Dreft!

I use purex baby and purex clear and free I use the baby one on the baby clothes cause I like the smell and it's only 3 dollars ... I use clear and free purex on mine and my toddler clothes it's all the same but the baby one smells like baby if that makes any sense lol

I usually use a bargain brand for my husband and I. I'm going to try and switch to a "free and clear" detergent for baby. Whichever one is one sale with a coupon when I need it haha. I just bought a bottle of All brand to use to wash the baby clothes I got as gifts.

I use dreft or baby all on mine and my babies clothes when I used the pods that I use to wash all my clothes in on her clothes she broke out with hives so I switched mine and hers to the baby recommended kind and my other children and my husband still use the pods.
