Ok so, I was trying to have sex with this guy and when he went to put it in it hurt really bad and he hadn't even got the head in yet. Is this because I'm on my period or because he was too big? I really want to try again but I'm afraid it'll be another fail.

Well, I don't think any penis can be too big. If you're wet enough you can fit a lot in you without pain. I think you tensed up before he could actually get it in. So, next time try foreplay, and prepare yourself to calm your muscles

If your in pain or scared your vaginal muscles tighten up so it could be because his size scared you. If want try again throw in some foreplay have suck in your spot use  lot of lube even if on your period lube helps. Try relax too because muscles will still tense if scared.
