Contour stuff?

Question

So I've never really worn anything but stage makeup before but I want to try highlight contour stuff. I can't find any highlight at target do I have to actually go somewhere? And do I need a beauty blender or can I blend with my fingers? Whoever I first put it on (before blending) how much do I put on? Can someone just talk me through.... all of it?

Target has a pretty good makeup selection but I'd recommend to go to ulta. They have a lot better selection. To just start with makeup you shouldn't go too expensive to find what you like. You shouldn't blend it foundation with your fingers you can use a brush from real techniques or their sponge. Instead of a beauty blender the L'oreal new pink sponge is great also the real techniques orange sponge. For a natural highlighyer i love the essence pure nude highlighter. More intense highlight I love the makeup revolution. Cream contour I'd recommend the nyx or Maybelline contour sticks. Powder I'd recommend the wet n wild contour palettes ( found it target) or the makeup revolution/nyx contour palettes (at ulta).

I go to Sephora. I have an Anastasia Beverly Hills cream contour palette which is fantastic, and also a Tarte glow kit, which has amazing highlighters. The stuff isn't cheap, but definitely worth it. I apply regular foundation with a beauty blender and then apply the contour/highlight with a foundation brush. I blend it all with an E.L.F kabuki brush. Then use the Tarte highlighters for a glowing look. This is me at homecoming. The filter kind of softens the look, but I don't tend to go very dramatic either. Anything Tarte is my recommendation. ❤❤❤

Like I'm from the uk but if you can't find any at target go to sephora or somewhere similar. It depends if you're using liquid or powder highlighter for the other stuff x

I'm not very good at contouring yet but the first comment has a lot of good recommendations for products! If you have a sephora near you go there and ask the workers how to(heads up they aren't always 100% sure what they're doing) and ask what they recommend as well! If you don't have a sephora I would watch a few YouTube videos on how to! Hope this was at least a little helpful!!
