Can you eat peanut butter?

Question

I got told that if you eat peanut butter, that your baby will get peanut allergy? Is that true? I hope not, I've been eating a lot of peanut butter sandwiches, it's one of my main cravings!

I've read that they used the think that but since mum's to be have avoided peanuts, allergies have gone through the roof! So they now think it's the opposite. Indulge your craving! I ate peanut butter throughout my first pregnancy, my son doesn't have a nut allergy. He also loves peanut butter on toast!

I've read the opposite, I read that avoiding it completely could cause the allergy because he wouldn't have a tolerance to it lol. Eat your peanut butter, I am. Lol.

I love my peanut butter!! I'll eat it by the spoon! When my mom was pregnant with me all she eat was peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches (yuk) in my book. I don't know how that's good lol.

There is actually an article here on glow premium that says studies have shown there is no increased risk of peanut allergy if mum eats peanuts during pregnancy, and it was also shown to reduce asthma risk for your baby too. Eat the peanut butter, I know I am! :)

With my first baby I craved pb&j sandwiches constantly. I ate them through out my whole pregnancy. My son does not have a nut allergy or any other allergies. I've eaten nuts with all 3 of my babies and none of them have but allergies. It's a myth.

Logically that doesn't make sense. If you're exposed to something early, you shouldn't develop an allergy.

Over exposure can cause allergies but it shouldn't be a problem unless you're eating a jar a day... I have some almost daily on a tortilla... Easy protein plus I love it
