40 weeks 1 day and nothing

Hi, I am a FTM and I am 40 weeks 1 day. Today I went to get checked and I have not started dilating at all and nothing is happening. They have scheduled me to be induced next Wednesday at 41 weeks. I am not against being induced one bit but just worried about the process they are wanting to do. They want to have me come in Tuesday morning to have a foley bulb inserted and then send me home with it in me and then I will go into LD on Wednesday morning to start the process. My nerves are super high with this plan because I have heard such horrible stories about the pain from the foley bulb. Didn't know if anyone has had the same experience or known anyone who has. Fingers still crossed to go into labor naturally but things aren't looking that promising.
