Yesterday at 38.6 I decided to clean the house top to bottom and then I rocked in my glider while I read a book. I got up to use the restroom and a gush of water came out. I went to the bathroom and had pink spotting. When I stood up, I had another gush of water. The water continued and I realized it was go time. My husband and I got to the hospital two hours later (I had to take a shower, do my hair, and get stuff together lol) and got admitted. When the nurse checked me, I was only 1 cm dilated which was a huge disappointment. I had no contractions so we just waited for something to pick up, all the while my water continued to gush out every time I moved. Contractions started during the night and got more and more intense, but I was still only a 3. This continued for what seemed like forever, then the doctor brought up the option of a csection due to the lack of progress. We ultimately decided to do the c section because my water had been broken for so long and I wasn't progressing. After that everything moved quickly and our sweet girl was born at 39 weeks exactly weighing 8 pounds and 12 ounces!
