what other reasons would my period be late?

I'm late by 4 days and I did two pregnancy tests and both were negative, one on the first day of when I should've gotten my period and one a day after (clear blue and boots digital) plus I don't have any symptoms. I'm normally pretty regular and if I'm late it's only by 2 or 3 days or sometimes I'm early. Buh I've been having a continuous cramping sensation in my abdominal, it ranges from severe to just mild and it gave me chest pain. So I'm really not sure what's going on with my body.

Check for a UTI. And do not wait, because if you do and your period has to come through it, you'll be sitting in class with mild cramps one minute and then next thing you know you're in the bathroom with seemingly more blood in your underwear than in your body, crying at the immense pain your body keeps being in and then not being in (think contractions), and you'll have to call your mom because you're sweating and bleeding and crying so much that you're not entirely sure you're not just dying.

I speak from 2 experiences where I was dumb and just thought I was being irregular (I'm usually not scheduled too strictly as is.)

Could be a number of things. Even predictable periods become unpredictable at times. I've read that changes in diet and exercise can affect when your period comes. But if you want to be sure about the pregnancy thing you could get a blood test.  Or give it some time because four days doesn't sound like that much to me, but of course you know your body better than anyone.
