My LO is 4 days old today and she's amazing, but I'm starting to struggle. She is constantly eating and my nipples are super irritated and raw. Every time she latches my whole body tenses up and I just can't wait for it to be over. I feel terrible because I dread every feeding but I know how important it is for her to eat so I just wince through the pain. We did meet with a lactation consultant at the hospital and I've been using nipple shields and she seems to be latching correctly. Anyone else going through this too? I'm getting really close to giving up and supplementing with formula ☹️
