Baby shower for baby #2?

Is there any mommas who are pregnant with their second baby and having another baby shower? What's everyone's opinion about this?

I think if it's a different gender than your first and someone wants to throw you a shower that's great. Same sex? Then go out to dinner with friends to celebrate and if they want to get you something then that's a bonus.

I'm having another boy so I'm thinking of doing a small BBQ diaper party. That's all we really need anyway so I think it'll be fun and relaxing.

Well my son just turned 1 in February & im 5 months pregnant having another baby shower this year although I had one last year lol but it's a GIRL this time.

I'm having another shower with my second. I'm pregnant with my second daughter, but my first is 9, so we don't have anything. Nobody has said anything derogatory at this point, and if they did, I'd just tell them they're more than welcome NOT to come. 😆

My friends are throwing me one and my coworkers but my son is 8. So it's been some time. Also me and my husband are pretty much purchasing everything may not be a lot left on the registry lol

My mother and best friend are throwing one for us. We were not planning on having one, but we lost our house and everything in three years ago and that is the only reason I am at all comfortable with it personally. We had a gender neutral nursery our first time and had a girl, this time we are having a boy and our family will be complete so we went more boy route. Although we will buy all big items ourselves. I have nothing against people who have multiple baby showers, it just wasn't in my original plans and if we didn't have the fire we would not be having another shower.
